Vicki Hvid is a database wrangler by training, although she’s slung pizzas, played bassoon, delivered phone books, and grown vegetables for a farmers’ market. She and her family live in Tennessee near the North Carolina border, where she and her partner are talking encouragingly to the first-year hops and gradually expanding the garden plot. She is owned by three cats and four dogs.
Rachelle Shook is a 19 year-old, 2nd year student at East Tennessee State University majoring in Dietetics (food and nutrition) and minoring in English. After college she plans to join the Peace Corps for a few years and travel the world. From India to Hawaii – no rock shall be left unturned. Her hobbies include rafting/kayaking, hiking, yoga, cooking, and traveling.
Kaela is 15 years old. Her main hobbies are drawing, Tae Kwon Do, reading, swimming, and the occasional hike. Her life goals are to own a restaurant with her sister and to become a renowned chef. The restaurant will host a variety of vegetarian and vegan foods with an edgy twist. She spends her days listening to music and dancing like no one’s watching.
